How is my account secured?

Every WurthAG account is protected by encrypted connections (TLS), password-protected access and identity verification. Your principal stays in your vault for the fixed term at the rate locked at opening, and term-end payouts are name-matched to your verified identity. The conditions that apply to your account and your vaults are set out in the Terms of Service.

How are the rates set?

Each savings tier has its own rate, minimum deposit and minimum term. You choose your term when you open a vault, and the rate stays fixed for that whole term. The rate, minimum term and minimum deposit of every tier are shown on the product page before you open a vault.

Question 3

Are WurthAG vaults Festgeld or Tagesgeld?

Accepted Answer

All WurthAG vaults are true Festgeld: your principal is locked for the term you choose (at least 3, 6, or 12 months, depending on the tier). What’s different: your accrued interest is spendable every single week via the WurthAG Card. You get Festgeld-high rates with Tagesgeld-like liquidity on the earnings portion.

What’s the difference between the three vault tiers?

Accepted Answer

Standard (3.2%): Festgeld with a minimum term of 3 months, from €5,000. Platinum (4.1%): minimum term 6 months, from €50,000. Diamond (4.4%): minimum term 12 months, from €100,000. You choose your term when you open a vault. All three pay interest daily on your deposit at a rate fixed for the full term, and let you spend accrued interest via the Card weekly.

What happens when my term ends?

Nothing happens automatically: there is no renewal and no new term. After maturity your vault keeps earning at the same rate until you close it, and you can close it in your dashboard at any time. The full balance (principal plus interest) then moves to your current account. From there you can transfer it to your own external bank account, name-matched to your verified identity, or open a new vault.

Question 6

Can I withdraw my principal early?

Your principal is locked until the end of the term, which is what makes it Festgeld. What you can do is withdraw your accrued interest to your WurthAG Card every week and spend it freely. Early termination of the principal is not a standard feature; section 4.6 of the Terms of Service sets out the conditions.

How is the interest taxed?

The tax treatment of your interest income depends on your country of residence. We do not give tax advice. For individual questions, please consult a tax advisor.

Yes. The rate, term and minimum deposit of every tier are published on this site before you open anything, and your rate is locked at opening for the full term. The Terms of Service set out the conditions for your account and your vaults. If anything is unclear, contact support before you deposit.
